Camrose – 50ft Semi-Trad Narrowboat

Camrose is a 50ft semi-trad narrowboat currently moored in a very sought after marina in Shardlow, Derby. There is the possibility of continued mooring in Shardlow. This would be by separate agreement with the marina operator.

Built in 1998 by Evans & Son and fitted out by her original owner to provide a light and open cabin space.

At the front the large welldeck is sheltered by a cratch cover and a glazed cratchboard allowing for plenty of natural light to flood into the area. Entering Camrose from the welldeck though the central glazed double timber doors you are instantly welcomed into a light, airy and spacious living area. Furnished with a solid fuel burner, 12v TV with satellite receiver and bespoke pullout sofa bed. The sofa bed was designed specifically for Camrose and unfolds to give a full double bet whilst having a minimal footprint when in sofa form. Storage for bedding is below the sofabed and a pullout drawer provides easy access for items such as spare life jackets.

Moving rearward through the open cabin space you enter the galley. This well planned cooking space is fitted with a Vanette 4 burner gas cooker, 1½ sink and a 12v Shoreline fridge. Natural light is fully utilised in this space and can be provided by both a double door side hatch and a houdini hatch in the roof. This further adds to Camrose’s light and airy feel.

The bathroom is fitted with a hip bath with a shower head above. Perfect for relaxing after a long walk down the towpath. A pump out toilet is also fitted along with a vanity basin.

The main bedroom has a fixed double bed and full height wardrobe. Additional storage space is also available in under the bed.

The rear deck is in the semi-trad style and provides space for a number of people whilst cruising but also gives protection from the great British summer time. The rear deck panels can be lifted to give access to the engine space.
